King Salman Center distributes winter clothing vouchers in Syria

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center , continued its tireless efforts to support the brotherly Syrian people. The Center distributed 1,048 shopping vouchers aimed at providing winter clothing to those in need. The distribution covered several areas inside Syria, specifically the Khirbet al-Jouz center in Idlib Governorate, the Busra al-Sham and Kinsabba centers in Daraa Governorate, and the Salma and Kinsabba centers in Latakia Governorate.
This distribution is part of the 2026 "Kanaf" project, which aims to distribute winter clothing to the most vulnerable families in the Syrian Arab Republic. This particular distribution benefited 1,048 individuals, with the vouchers allowing beneficiaries the freedom to choose suitable winter clothing for themselves and their children, thus ensuring their actual needs are met and preserving their human dignity.
The importance of timing and facing the winter cold
This aid is of paramount importance given its timing, as displaced persons and refugees in Syrian governorates are suffering from harsh weather conditions and plummeting temperatures during the winter. Families in these areas face immense challenges in securing heating and warm clothing to protect themselves from the bitter cold, especially in light of the difficult economic situation and soaring prices of basic necessities.
The Kingdom's leading role in humanitarian work
This humanitarian initiative reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's unwavering commitment to supporting affected populations worldwide, particularly the Syrian people who have been enduring a protracted humanitarian crisis for years. The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center is a leading international actor in this field, providing assistance that extends beyond winter clothing to include food security, shelter, healthcare, and education.
Impact of aid on beneficiaries
The "Kanaf" project and other Saudi relief initiatives contribute to easing the financial burden on Syrian families, allowing them to direct their limited resources to meet other urgent needs such as food and medicine. This initiative is a continuation of the Kingdom's approach of extending a helping hand to its brothers and friends in various circumstances and crises, reaffirming the values of humanitarian solidarity embraced by the Saudi leadership.
