The 75th Saudi relief plane to support Gaza arrives in Al-Arish

The 75th Saudi relief plane, operated by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, landed today at El Arish International Airport in the Arab Republic of Egypt. This flight is the latest in a series of ongoing airlifts launched by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under high-level directives, to provide urgent assistance and relief to the brotherly Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, given the dire humanitarian conditions there.

Shipment details and relief supplies

The plane carried tons of carefully selected humanitarian aid to meet the most urgent needs. The shipment included comprehensive food baskets to bolster food security, as well as shelter kits for families who lost their homes and are now homeless. This aid is currently being unloaded at El Arish Airport before being transported by truck to the border crossings and then delivered to those affected within the Gaza Strip.

An extension of the leadership's directives and the popular campaign

The dispatch of this aircraft comes in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prime Minister – may God protect them. These efforts reflect the strong bond between the Saudi leadership and people, as this official aid coincides with the Saudi public campaign through the “Sahem” platform, which has witnessed generous donations and widespread participation from citizens and residents, thus confirming the deep fraternal ties between the Saudi and Palestinian peoples.

A well-structured logistics and regional coordination system

The delivery of Saudi aid is characterized by a comprehensive logistics system and high-level coordination. The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center works alongside the Saudi Ministry of Defense to manage the airlifts, in continuous coordination with the Kingdom's embassy in Cairo. Egyptian authorities and the Egyptian Red Crescent also play a pivotal role in receiving and storing the aid in El Arish and facilitating its transit, reflecting the strength of Saudi-Egyptian relations and their joint cooperation in managing regional humanitarian crises.

The historical dimension of Saudi support for Palestine

This airlift is not a fleeting event, but rather an extension of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's longstanding and unwavering policy of supporting the Palestinian cause on all political and humanitarian levels. For decades, the Kingdom has been at the forefront of providing material and moral support to the Palestinian people, and this current aid reaffirms the Kingdom's steadfast commitment to the principle of Arab and Islamic solidarity and its tireless efforts to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians in various international forums.

The importance of aid at the current time

The 75th aircraft is of paramount strategic importance given the deteriorating living and health conditions in Gaza and the increasing need for basic necessities due to the ongoing blockade and military operations. This continuous flow of Saudi aid, whether via air or sea bridge, provides a vital lifeline for displaced people, ensuring the minimum food and shelter requirements necessary for survival, thus bolstering the resilience of the Palestinian people in the face of this humanitarian catastrophe.
