Urgent: The Kingdom and 9 other countries condemn the appointment of an envoy for the occupation to the so-called “Somaliland”

The ministers affirmed their complete rejection of all unilateral actions that affect the unity of states or diminish their sovereignty.

They emphasized their unwavering support for the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Somalia, and for the legitimate institutions of the Somali state, as the sole representatives of the will of the Somali people.
The ministers also affirmed that such actions constitute a blatant violation of the principles of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and the Constitutive Act of the African Union, and represent a dangerous precedent that could undermine stability in the Horn of Africa, negatively impacting regional peace and security in general.
