Player Saud Abdulhamid called for support for his team in their upcoming match against Toulouse in the French Cup semi-final, which will be held next Tuesday at the "Bollard-Delelis" stadium. This came after his team, Lens, defeated their host Toulouse 3-2 in the match that took place between them, in the opening of the 30th round of the French Football League. Saud Abdulhamid opened the scoring in the 61st minute, Adrien Thomasson scored the equalizer in the 67th minute, while Ismail Janio scored the winning goal in the 90+2 minute. Toulouse's goals were scored by Christian Caceres in the 6th minute and Seni Koumbassa in the 13th minute.
He said in a tweet on his official social media account: “Praise be to God for the victory and the three important points,” and added: “We have a crucial match on Tuesday, God willing we will be ready and reach the final… Your prayers are needed.”.
With this victory, Lens raises its tally to 62 points, continuing its pursuit of the leader Paris Saint-Germain, while Toulouse's tally remains frozen at 37 points in 10th place.
