His Excellency the President of the General Auditing Bureau, Dr. Hossam bin Abdulmohsen Al-Anqari, issued an administrative decision appointing Mr. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Razeen as the official spokesperson for the General Auditing Bureau, in addition to his current duties as Executive Director of Financial Audit and Compliance at the Bureau.

This strategic decision comes as part of the General Auditing Bureau's ongoing efforts to develop its communication system and its keenness to enhance effective and sustainable communication channels with various local and international media outlets. This step aims to build bridges of constructive cooperation with the public, directly contributing to increased transparency and disclosure, and facilitating access to accurate information related to the Bureau's responsibilities and its essential roles in financial auditing, compliance, and oversight of government performance.

In his biography, the new spokesperson, Mohammed Al-Razeen, possesses extensive practical and cumulative experience gained throughout his distinguished career. He has worked at leading international accounting and auditing firms, equipping him with advanced skills in international accounting and auditing standards. Al-Razeen also holds a master's degree in finance, making him well-qualified to serve as the official spokesperson and explain technical and financial details to the public in clear and accessible language.

This decision is particularly significant given the pivotal role of the General Auditing Bureau as a leading oversight body in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is responsible for auditing state revenues and expenditures, monitoring all movable and immovable assets, and ensuring their proper use and preservation. This step aligns with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which places great emphasis on the principles of transparency, accountability, and good governance in the public sector.

The appointment of a spokesperson with a strong professional background is expected to enhance the public image of the Audit Bureau and clarify its oversight reports and findings for the public, thereby strengthening confidence in the state's oversight procedures aimed at protecting public funds and improving spending efficiency. This move also reflects the commitment of Saudi government institutions to adopting global best practices in corporate communication and government media.
