
Hussein Abdulghani's son reveals the impact of his father's message that knocked Al-Ittihad out of the cup
The son of former star Hussein Abdulghani, Al-Kholoud player Uday Hussein Abdulghani, revealed details of the message he received from his father before the semi-final match against Al-Ittihad, which ended in a 5-4 penalty shootout victory for Al-Kholoud after the two teams drew 2-2 in regulation and extra time. The match was held at Al-Hazm Club Stadium in Al-Rass Governorate. Uday confirmed that the message provided a significant morale boost for him and his teammates in the locker room. He explained that his father was keen to support him with a motivational message before the match, noting that they entered the game with high confidence. He said, "My father sent us a message of support before the match, and we were confident that we could achieve victory." Regarding his appearances, the 20-year-old has represented Al-Kholoud's first team in five rounds of the Saudi Professional League, in addition to playing 41 minutes in the Round of 16 match against Al-Najma in the King's Cup.
He also had a special encounter against his former team, as he participated for 18 minutes in the 14th round after coming on as a substitute, while he remained on the bench until the final whistle in the Cup semi-final match.
