According to a recent report issued by the Makkah Center for Information and Economic Studies at the Makkah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, entitled “The Makkah Economy: The Pulse of Business in the Holy Capital,” this qualitative leap is driven by an accelerating economic movement, a remarkable expansion in commercial and investment activities, and growing confidence among entrepreneurs and investors in the local market.

Historically, Makkah’s economy has been closely tied to the religious seasons of Hajj and Umrah. However, the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 has launched a structural transformation aimed at building a more sustainable and diversified economy. The Vision seeks to maximize the benefits of Makkah’s unique religious status and transform it into a global economic and logistical hub that attracts investments year-round.
