The humanitarian context and the Kingdom's leading role
These services come within a long history of Saudi support for Yemen, where the health sector is among the most severely affected by the ongoing crisis. The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center operates according to a strategy aimed at preventing the collapse of the health system in various Yemeni governorates by supporting hospitals and health centers with fuel, medicines, medical supplies, and personnel.
These efforts are of paramount importance both locally and regionally; they not only contribute to treating patients but also work to contain epidemics and infectious diseases before they spread, thus enhancing health security throughout the region. The continued operation of the Al-Ja’ada Health Center in the Midi District is a prime example of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting humanitarian stability in Yemen and providing a dignified life for Yemeni citizens under the current circumstances, thereby reaffirming its global leadership in relief and humanitarian work.
