Imam and preacher of the Grand Mosque: Student discipline is the key to success in building a responsible generation

The General Directorate of Education in Makkah, in cooperation with the local branch of the National Society for Human Rights, organized a comprehensive awareness meeting entitled “Students’ Rights and Responsibilities.”
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Professor Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid, Imam and Khateeb of the Grand Mosque and Advisor to the Royal Court, who emphasized the importance of educating students about the principles of rights and responsibilities to build a stable and productive life. Also
participating in the event were Mr. Khalid Al-Fakhri, Director of the National Society for Human Rights, and Mr. Abdullah Al-Ghannam, Director General of Education in Makkah, with the aim of preparing responsible students who are active members of their communities and contribute to the advancement of comprehensive national development.

The Director General of Education in the Makkah Region, Abdullah Al-Ghannam, explained that the topic of students' rights and responsibilities forms the solid foundation for building a safe and stimulating educational environment where students' dignity is preserved and their abilities are enhanced. Al-Ghannam pointed out the Ministry of Education's commitment to integrating the roles of the school and the family to instill educational values ​​in the younger generation.
The Education Department stated that the events began with a tour of an accompanying art exhibition showcasing students' creative drawings and paintings. Guests delivered motivational speeches that contributed to boosting students' self-confidence and developing their talents, in line with the goals of quality educational life.

Pillars of societal stability

The head of the National Society for Human Rights, Khaled Al-Fakhri, affirmed that rights and duties are the cornerstone of societal stability and progress in the face of contemporary challenges. Al-Fakhri explained that true citizenship is demonstrated through responsible practices and behaviors that reflect national belonging and respect for prevailing laws and regulations.
He highlighted the Society's ongoing efforts to disseminate a culture of rights and instill the principles of justice and human dignity within the school environment, emphasizing the pivotal role of teachers and scholars in shaping awareness and building a conscious generation capable of building the future and keeping pace with rapid changes effectively and competently.

Discipline is the foundation of success

During the meeting, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Humaid spoke about the importance of discipline as the primary driver of academic and professional success in a student's life. He explained that a disciplined student is able to manage their time effectively and achieve the necessary balance between the demands of their studies and personal life, avoiding distractions.
He emphasized the need to combine ambition with conscious planning, noting that ambition represents a sincere desire, while planning provides the practical path to achieving it. The meeting concluded with His Excellency being honored in recognition of his contributions to enriching the knowledge presented. The meeting witnessed significant student engagement, with students posing questions about the mechanisms for making sound decisions.
