The Governor of Riyadh launches the "Generosity from Us and Among Us" campaign in Diriyah to support 8,000 families

In a move reflecting the deep national unity and keen interest in the developmental housing sector, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, inaugurated the headquarters of the "Jood Housing" campaign under the slogan "Generosity is from us and within us" in Diriyah Governorate. This inauguration, organized by the "Sakan" Developmental Housing Foundation, marks a strong start to a season of giving and generosity in the Kingdom.
Symbolism of place and time
The choice of Diriyah as the launchpad for this campaign was not accidental; it carries profound historical and national significance. As the cradle of the first Saudi state and the starting point of its unification, Diriyah today hosts initiatives that strengthen social unity and solidarity among the nation's citizens. This event reflects the harmony between the richness of history and the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which places great importance on the non-profit sector and charitable work, transforming it into a sustainable, impactful, and institutionalized endeavor.
High-level attendance and generous leadership support
The launch ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including His Royal Highness the Prince of Riyadh, who was received upon arrival by His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the "Sakan" Foundation, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, the CEO of Diriyah Group, Mr. Jerry Inzerillo, and the Secretary-General of the "Sakan" Foundation, Mr. Rashid bin Mohammed Al-Jalajel. The ceremony began with verses from the Holy Quran and a visual presentation showcasing the platform's achievements and ambitious goals.
In his speech, His Excellency Minister Majid Al-Hogail appreciated the generous and unlimited support from the wise leadership, expressing his deepest gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman - may God protect them - noting their generous donation of 150 million riyals, which is the main driver and primary supporter of the launch of the campaign, thus motivating all sectors of society to contribute to this good cause.
Campaign objectives and its societal impact
This year, the "Generosity is From Us and Within Us" campaign aims to secure housing for more than 8,000 of the most vulnerable families across the Kingdom. The campaign goes beyond simply providing shelter, striving to achieve psychological and social stability for these families, thus contributing to building a vibrant and productive society. Al-Haqil emphasized that, thanks to its high level of organization and governance, charitable work in the Kingdom has transformed from scattered individual initiatives into an integrated system that creates a lasting impact and fundamentally changes the lives of beneficiaries.
National partnership and institutional integration
The "Jood Housing" campaign embodies a unique national model of effective partnership between the government, private, and non-profit sectors, as well as members of the community. This integration reinforces the values of giving inherent in Saudi society and translates the campaign's slogan into tangible reality. His Royal Highness the Prince of Riyadh concluded the ceremony with a tour of the accompanying exhibition, viewing the interactive displays designed to inform visitors about contribution mechanisms and the platform's success stories. He prayed for God's guidance and success for all in serving the nation and its citizens.
