Al-Hilal is negotiating with Abdullah Al-Anzi... a four-way battle to sign the Al-Fateh talent

In a new development that is heating up the winter transfer market in Saudi Arabia, informed sources told Okaz newspaper that Al-Hilal's management has opened official and direct lines of communication with the agent of young player Abdullah Al-Anzi, the star of Al-Fateh, after he entered the free agency period of his contract several days ago. This period allows the player to sign with any other club without needing the consent of his current club, making the deal attractive to major clubs seeking to strengthen their squads with minimal financial costs associated with buying out the remainder of contracts.
Al-Zaeem’s interest in the player Abdullah Al-Anzi stems from his high technical capabilities, as he occupies the winger position (right and left) with high efficiency, and is distinguished by his superior speed, ability to dribble and create goals, which are characteristics that suit the attacking style that Al-Hilal adopts in local and continental competitions.
The player's career and his beginnings with Al-Nasr
Returning to the player's background, it's worth noting that Al-Anzi (born in 2003) began his football career in the youth ranks of Al-Nassr Club about five seasons ago. However, negotiations between him and the Al-Nassr management at the time were unsuccessful due to disagreements over contract terms, prompting the player to seek another opportunity. Based on a technical recommendation, Al-Anzi moved to Al-Fateh Club, where his talent blossomed remarkably. He led his team to win the youth league championship, subsequently being promoted to the first team and becoming a key player for the coaching staff, attracting the attention of scouts from major clubs.
A four-way battle and the importance of the local player
Al-Hilal's path to signing the player doesn't appear easy, as sources indicate a fierce four-way battle. Al-Anzi has received serious offers from his former club, Al-Nassr, in addition to significant interest from Al-Khaleej and Al-Ettifaq. The player has yet to decide on his next destination, as he is still considering all offers to choose the most suitable sporting project and financial package for his future.
This deal is of paramount importance in the current context of Saudi football, as clubs funded by the Public Investment Fund and their rivals seek to bolster their squads with top-tier local players. Investing in young talents like Al-Anzi is a strategic option for clubs to ensure sustainability and long-term competitiveness in the Saudi Professional League, especially given the regulations mandating a certain number of local players on rosters, making the competition for young Saudi talents just as fierce as the battle for international stars.
