announced King Abdullah Medical City on Wednesday the successful completion of two delicate surgical procedures by a specialized medical team to remove malignant stomach tumors from two sisters, while fully preserving their stomach functions.
The city explained that this significant medical achievement reflects the efficiency and quality of specialized services within the new Saudi healthcare model. It noted that both patients were suffering from tumors in the middle part of their stomachs, necessitating a complex surgical intervention requiring advanced planning and execution skills to ensure their safety and full recovery.

The medical city reported that the sensitive location of the tumors enabled the team to perform a precise partial gastrectomy of the middle lobe, along with the removal of lymph nodes , according to the highest international surgical standards.
It explained that the procedure involved advanced reconnection between the upper and lower lobe segments of the stomach, ensuring the continuity of normal digestive function with minimal complications.
The city stated that achieving this balance between radical tumor removal and preserving organ function is a significant surgical challenge, which the national medical team successfully overcame with efficiency and competence.

Advanced technologies

The hospital stated that both procedures were performed using advanced laparoscopic surgery through a hidden incision in the navel area, with each procedure lasting approximately three hours.
It emphasized that this technique significantly reduced pain and complications associated with traditional surgery, while also accelerating recovery and achieving superior cosmetic results. The hospital
