Urgent – ​​Eid weather forecast: Unstable weather, thunderstorms, and winds starting Wednesday

The National Center for Meteorology revealed that most regions of the Kingdom will be affected by a thunderstorm, ranging in intensity from moderate to heavy, during the period from Wednesday, March 18 to Monday, March 23, according to the report issued by the General Directorate of Weather and Climate Forecasts at the Center.
The report explained that the rainy weather system will begin to affect the northern regions of the Kingdom, where rainfall is expected Moderate rain Heavy rain is expected in the Tabuk region on Wednesday, March 18 and Thursday, March 19, including the cities and governorates of Tabuk, Tayma, Haql, Al-Bada, Neom, Duba, Al-Wajh and Umluj, while the rain will return on Saturday, March 21, but it will be light to moderate.

The weather system also includes the Al-Jawf region on Wednesday, March 18, and Thursday, March 19, with moderate to heavy rain extending to Al-Qurayyat, Tabuk, Dumat Al-Jandal, and Sakaka. The Northern Borders region will also be affected during the same period with moderate to heavy rain, including Tarif, Arar, Rafha, and Al-Uwayqilah. Light to moderate rain is expected to continue on Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22.
In the Madinah region, the report forecasts moderate to heavy rain on Wednesday, March 18, and Thursday, March 19, including Madinah, Wadi Al-Fara, Badr, Yanbu, Al-Ais, Al-Ula, Khaybar, Al-Hanakiya, and Al-Mahd.
As for the Makkah region, moderate to heavy rain is expected in Makkah, Al-Kamil, Al-Jumum, Khulais, and Bahrah on Wednesday evening, March 18, and Thursday, March 19, while Jeddah and Rabigh will be affected with light to moderate rain during the same period.
The rainy weather system will extend from Thursday, March 19th to Monday, March 23rd, affecting the governorates of Taif, Maysan, Adham, Al-Ardiyat, Turabah, Al-Muwayh, Al-Khurmah, and Ranyah, with moderate to heavy rainfall.
The report also indicated that the Al-Baha region will be affected by moderate to heavy rain from Thursday, March 19th to Monday, March 23rd, including the city of Al-Baha and the governorates of Baljurashi, Al-Mandaq, Qalwah, Bani Hassan, Al-Qura, Al-Makhwah, Al-Hajrah, Ghamid Al-Zanad, and Al-Aqiq.
The system will also affect the Asir region during the same period, with moderate to heavy rain expected in most governorates, including Abha, Khamis Mushait, Al-Namas, Bisha, and Tathlith. In the Jazan region, the center predicted moderate to heavy rainfall from Thursday, March 19, to Monday, March 23, in the governorates of Al-Raith, Haroub, Al-Dayer, Al-Aydabi, Fifa, Al-Ardah, and Al-Harth. Meanwhile, the governorates of Jazan, Baysh, Sabya, Samtah, and Farasan are expected to experience moderate rainfall from Saturday, March 21, to Monday, March 23.
The rainy weather also extends to the Najran region, where moderate to heavy rainfall is expected from Thursday, March 19, to Monday, March 23, including the city of Najran and the governorates of Badr Al-Janoub, Habuna, Yadmah, Thar, and Sharurah. In the Riyadh region, the report indicated light to moderate rainfall from Wednesday, March 18, to Monday, March 23, which may become heavy on Thursday, March 19, and Friday, March 20, including the city of Riyadh, Al-Dilam, Al-Muzahmiyah, Shaqra, Al-Zulfi, Al-Majma'ah, Al-Dawadmi, Al-Quway'iyah, Wadi Al-Dawasir, and Al-Aflaj.
Rain is also expected in the Hail region on Wednesday, March 18, and Thursday, March 19, with moderate to heavy rainfall in Hail city and the governorates of Al-Ghazala, Baqaa, Samira, and the rest of the region.
In the Qassim region, moderate to heavy rain is expected on Wednesday, March 18, and Thursday, March 19, including Buraidah, Unaizah, Ar Rass, Al Bukayriyah, Al Mudhnib, and the rest of the region.
The Eastern Province will be affected by the rainy weather system on Thursday, March 19, and Friday, March 20, with moderate to heavy rain in Hafr Al-Batin and Al Khafji governorates. Meanwhile, Dammam, Jubail, Qatif, Khobar, Al Ahsa, and Abqaiq will experience light to moderate rain, which may become heavy, on Thursday, March 19, and Friday, March 20, continuing until Monday, March 23.
The report also detailed the intensity of the rainfall associated with this weather system, with light rain ranging between 1 and 4 millimeters per hour, often accompanied by downdrafts reaching speeds of up to 50 kilometers per hour, causing dust storms.
Moderate rainfall is expected to range between 5 and 9 millimeters per hour, accompanied by winds reaching speeds of up to 60 kilometers per hour, flash floods, hail, and high waves.
Heavy rainfall is expected to range between 10 and 50 millimeters per hour or more, accompanied by winds exceeding 60 kilometers per hour, flash floods, hail, and high waves, with the possibility of tornadoes in some cases.
The National Center of Meteorology urged everyone to follow reports and warnings issued through its website, the "Anwaa" application, and its social media accounts, and to adhere to the instructions of the relevant authorities to ensure safety.
