Authorities explained that the accident occurred around 4 a.m., amid speculation that the driver fell asleep at the wheel, causing him to lose control of the vehicle and enter the opposite lane before colliding with the truck.
According to local authorities, the injured were taken to the hospital for medical care, before the players later left for a hotel, and were to return to Perm by train after their health condition stabilized.
