A spiritual visit and official reception in Medina
Within the framework of the close fraternal and historical relations that bind the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, accompanied by a high-level delegation, visited the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah. He performed prayers in the Rawdah Ash-Sharifah (the area between the Prophet's grave and his pulpit) and had the honor of greeting the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and his two companions (may God be pleased with them), in a spiritual atmosphere reflecting the Kingdom's great religious standing in the hearts of Muslims worldwide. Upon his arrival at the Prophet's Mosque, he was received by a number of senior officials, led by the Commander of the Prophet's Mosque Security Force, Colonel Mutaib bin Nuaiman Al-Badrani, and the Director of the Royal Protocol Office in the region, Ibrahim bin Abdullah Barri, reflecting the warm welcome and great attention that the Kingdom's leadership pays to its guests.
The depth of historical relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan
This visit comes within the context of a long history of exceptional relations between Riyadh and Islamabad, relations whose roots extend back to before Pakistan's independence in 1947. These relations are characterized by a convergence of views on many regional and international issues, and ongoing cooperation in the political, economic, and military spheres. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is considered one of Pakistan's most important strategic partners, consistently standing by its side in various challenges, while Pakistan continually affirms its unwavering commitment to defending the Kingdom's security and stability and protecting the Two Holy Mosques.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince commended the tireless efforts of the Pakistani Prime Minister to bolster his country's economic growth and develop the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations.
Regional and international role and coordination of positions
The discussions also touched upon the latest regional and international developments of mutual interest. Foremost among these issues were the evolving situation in the region and the latest developments related to diplomatic efforts and talks aimed at easing regional tensions, including the talks between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, which Pakistan is hosting and in which it is playing a facilitating role. During the meeting, the importance of continuing and intensifying diplomatic efforts to restore stability to the region was emphasized. In this context, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince commended the vital role played by the Pakistani leadership, praising the efforts of the Prime Minister and Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of the Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff, in maintaining regional security.
