
Roads Authority: More than 79,000 vehicles crossed the roads leading to Mecca on the 7th of Dhul-Hijjah

Arafat takes center stage
The authority explained that the entrance to Arafat saw the highest number of vehicles passing through, with 17,592 vehicles, followed by Prince Mohammed bin Salman Road with 13,714 vehicles, and then Al-Laith Road with 13,054 vehicles.
It also indicated that the Taif-Makkah road via Al-Sail Al-Kabeer witnessed the passage of 10,241 vehicles, while the number of vehicles passing through the Makkah-Jeddah road (Bahra) reached 7,365, and the Al-Hijrah Road saw 7,346 vehicles. Additionally, the Makkah-Taif road (Aqabat Al-Hada) saw 6,350 vehicles, and the direct Makkah-Jeddah road saw 3,599 vehicles.
Service safety
The General Authority for Roads confirmed its continued field and operational readiness on the roads leading to the holy sites, through monitoring traffic and raising the level of safety and services provided to the pilgrims, in a way that contributes to the smooth flow of movement and the comfort of the pilgrims during the Hajj season.
