The Governor of Jeddah honors the winners of the 2025 Educational Competition Award

The Governor of Jeddah awards 121 male and female students the “Munafes 2025” Award for Educational Excellence

In a move reflecting the great importance the Saudi leadership places on supporting and encouraging young talent, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, Governor of Jeddah, honored 121 outstanding male and female students from the Jeddah General Directorate of Education at the Governorate headquarters. These students achieved top rankings in the “Munafes 2025” award. The ceremony was attended by the Director General of Education in the Governorate, Ms. Manal bint Mubarak Al-Lahibi, along with several educational leaders and parents of the students, in recognition of their distinguished achievements that place them at the forefront of their peers.

This recognition comes within a broader context aligned with the strategic objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which places human capital development at the heart of its priorities. Through its educational programs and initiatives, the Kingdom seeks to cultivate a creative and innovative generation capable of keeping pace with global developments and contributing effectively to building a knowledge-based economy. The “Munafes” Award is a key tool for achieving this goal, motivating students to excel academically and develop their future skills, thus ensuring the preparation of future leaders capable of driving sustainable development.

“Munafes” Award: An integrated platform for creating excellence

The “Munafis” Award, launched by the Ministry of Education, aims to discover and nurture outstanding students in various fields and create a positive, competitive environment that encourages creativity and innovation. The award encompasses multiple tracks that comprehensively assess students' abilities. Sixty-four male and fifty-seven female students from 82 schools were recognized for their excellence in vital areas such as international assessments, knowledge acquisition, volunteer work, innovation and scientific talent, as well as future skills and entrepreneurship. This diversity of tracks ensures a holistic evaluation of students' capabilities, extending beyond academics to include personal and practical skills.

During the ceremony, His Royal Highness the Governor of Jeddah congratulated the winning students, praising their outstanding achievements. He emphasized that their continued pursuit of excellence will directly contribute to creating leading national role models capable of competing globally and driving future development. For her part, Ms. Manal Al-Lahibi expressed her appreciation for His Royal Highness's patronage of the event, affirming that this recognition serves as a powerful incentive for the students to continue their journey of excellence and leadership, and motivates their peers to follow in their footsteps, thus contributing to building an ambitious nation and a thriving economy.
