In a move reflecting the rapid development of the aviation sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Saudi Airlines a qualitative achievement by obtaining second place globally in the punctuality of flight arrivals for the year 2025. This prestigious ranking came according to the report issued by the global website "Cirium", which specializes in monitoring and analyzing data on the operations and performance of airlines and airports around the world, for the second time in a row, which confirms the sustainability of the operational excellence of the national carrier.

Operational performance details in numbers

The report highlighted the remarkable performance of Saudi Arabian Airlines, which achieved an on-time arrival rate of 86.53% . This high rate was determined through an analysis of data from a total of 202,800 flights operated across Saudi Arabian Airlines' expanding network, which currently covers more than 100 destinations across four continents. This figure reflects the significant effort invested in managing complex operational processes with meticulous precision.

A key pillar of the national transport strategy

This achievement is not merely a statistic; it comes within the context of a comprehensive transformation underway in the Kingdom's air transport sector, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transport and Logistics Strategy. These strategies aim to position the Kingdom as a global logistics hub connecting three continents, reaching 330 million passengers annually by 2030. Punctuality is a crucial factor in gaining the trust of international travelers and enhancing the competitiveness of the national carrier against major global airlines.

Enhancing the fleet and operational efficiency

Commenting on this achievement, the CEO of Saudi Group, Engineer Ibrahim bin Abdulrahman Al-Omar, commended the efforts of the planning and operations teams. He noted that operational efficiency is a key pillar of the Group's strategic plan, as time is directly linked to the quality of the guest experience.

Saudia is preparing for a major expansion phase, with 116 new aircraft in the next few years, joining its current fleet of 149. This fleet increase will contribute to higher operational efficiency and increased seating capacity, while maintaining quality standards through reliance on qualified Saudi personnel and the latest technologies in its operations center.
