“Restoring for Development” is launching the establishment of 9 non-profit companies and targeting 50 new investment projects
These steps aim to enhance the path of community investment, achieve financial sustainability, and shift towards empowerment in the non-profit sector, in line with the association’s future directions to maximize developmental and social impact.
A portfolio of sustainability and billions in revenue
The association explained that these initiatives fall within the strategic objectives of building a portfolio of 50 non-profit companies within five years.
This system is expected to create over 500 job opportunities and serve approximately 200,000 beneficiaries, with targeted revenues of nearly 96 million riyals and a compound annual growth rate exceeding 24%.
The association's corporate sustainability strategy focuses on three main pillars: Wathr Al-Imara Company, the Ghiras Endowment, and the Surge Program, which serve as development tools for diversifying resources.
From pastoral care to empowerment
During a recent greeting ceremony attended by partners and supporters, the association reviewed the progress of the “Surge” program since its launch in 2025, emphasizing that 2026 represents a stage of expansion and maturity in building the community investment system.

The program aims for a radical shift from traditional pastoral work models to development models based on empowerment and sustainability, ensuring the launch of sustainable non-profit entities with a long-term impact on the quality of life of beneficiaries.
Valuing strategic partnerships
For his part, Dr. Abdullah Al-Darbah, CEO of the Tarmeem Development Association, expressed his appreciation for the support of government agencies, partners, and donors, emphasizing that the achievements represent a practical step towards building a sustainable community investment system.
The association affirmed its commitment to expanding its initiatives and strengthening its partnerships with the public and private sectors, contributing to a sustainable developmental impact and enhancing institutional performance to better serve beneficiaries in the Makkah region.
