
Stuttgart establishes its foothold in the golden square
Stuttgart achieved a 4-0 victory over their guest Hamburg in the match that brought them together yesterday at the conclusion of the 29th round of the German Football League.
Stuttgart's four goals were scored by Angelo Stieler in the 21st minute, Chris Vorich in the 32nd minute, Maximilian Mittelstädt in the 56th minute, and Bilal Al-Khanous in the 86th minute.
With this victory, Stuttgart moved up to third place with 56 points, ahead of fourth-placed Leipzig on goal difference. Meanwhile, Hamburg remained on 31 points in 12th place.
In another match, Werder Bremen lost to Cologne by a score of (1-3), bringing them closer to the relegation zone.
Werder Bremen's points tally remained at 28, placing them 15th, three points clear of the relegation play-off spot currently occupied by 16th-placed St. Pauli, with five rounds remaining. Meanwhile, Cologne climbed to 13th place with 30 points, five points clear of the relegation zone.
In a third match, Freiburg defeated Mainz 1-0 with a goal scored by Lucas Höler in the 47th minute, bringing their total to 40 points in eighth place, seven points ahead of ninth-placed Mainz.
