The Saudi national team arrives in New York and holds its first training session
The national team delegation arrived in New York City, coming from Riyadh, to hold the first phase of the training camp within the fourth and final phase of the Green Team’s preparation program for participation in the FIFA World Cup 2026™.
The national team will hold its training camp in New York City until the 31st of May, during which it will play a friendly match against the Ecuadorian national team on Saturday, May 30th at the Sports Illustrated stadium in Harrison, New Jersey.
The national team delegation was received upon their arrival at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) by the Consul General in New York, Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Hamdan, and the Deputy Consul General, Abdullah Al-Fawzan. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Yasser bin Hassan Al-Mishal, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Saudi Consulate in New York for the warm welcome and facilitation of arrival procedures.
The Saudi national team is scheduled to launch its training program this evening (Tuesday) with a training session to be held at the New York City FC training center, as part of the camp's technical program.
