
Trump: The blockade of Iranian ports "will remain in place" if no agreement is reached

Iran reopened the Strait of Hormuz on Friday following a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon, despite Tehran's threat to close the vital waterway again if the US blockade continues.
When asked Trump Regarding the possibility of reaching an agreement, he said, "I think that will happen.".
There are still fundamental differences between the demands of the United States and Iran, who previously failed to reach an agreement during talks in Pakistan.
No fees for Iran
Trump told reporters that Iran would not impose tolls on ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz, a demand the Islamic Republic had made during previous negotiations.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump said Chinese President Xi Jinping was “very pleased” to reopen the vital waterway.
Trump added, “Our meeting in China will be very special, and perhaps historic,” referring to the planned summit in Beijing between the US and Chinese presidents in May.
Trump also emphasized that Washington and Tehran would jointly transfer Iran’s enriched uranium stockpiles to the United States under the plan Washington is working on to end the trade war that began on February 28.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry had previously stated that its uranium stockpile would not be moved “anywhere.”
