With the participation of 300 contestants, Umm Al-Qura University launches a camp for developing historical sites

Umm Al-Qura University launched its Innovation Camp as part of the fourth phase of the Historical and Cultural Sites , organized by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in collaboration with the university. This coincided with the third edition of the Umrah and Visit Forum, under the patronage of His Royal Highness the Prince of Madinah.
The camp is a continuation of the hackathon, which brings together a select group of creative and innovative individuals to develop innovative solutions that contribute to highlighting historical and cultural sites and enhancing their cultural and touristic, in line with national development goals and Saudi Vision 2030, particularly in enriching the experience of pilgrims.

The hackathon, held for the third consecutive year, saw the participation of over 300 contestants representing 10 regions in Saudi Arabia, along with participants from 35 countries worldwide. Twenty-five teams qualified for the semi-final stage, while eight projects are competing in the final stage to present innovative solutions that serve historical sites in Mecca and Medina.
