In a post on the X platform, Macron stated that France “bows its respect and expresses its support for the families of our soldiers and all our military personnel engaged in peacekeeping in Lebanon. France demands that the Lebanese authorities immediately apprehend the perpetrators and assume their responsibilities alongside the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).”
