Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, represented by the Pharmacy Club at the College of Pharmacy, is preparing to launch the twelfth edition of the “More Than a Pharmacist” event on Thursday, January 22, 2026. The event will be held at the university’s Center for Natural and Health Sciences Research and aims to create an interactive platform that connects academia and the job market, enhancing knowledge and building professional networks between students, graduates, and leading experts and specialists in the pharmaceutical sector.

The slogan “We innovate and lead the future”... a renewed vision

This edition, themed “Innovating and Leading the Future,” reflects the latest trends in the Saudi Arabian healthcare sector. The event offers a comprehensive knowledge and professional experience, providing participants with the opportunity to meet directly with industry leaders and attend enriching dialogue and discussion sessions. Approximately 25 leading healthcare organizations are participating, along with a number of prominent speakers who will share real-world experiences and promising future opportunities in the field of pharmacy.

Keeping pace with the transformation in the Saudi pharmaceutical sector

This event is particularly significant given the radical transformations taking place in the Kingdom's healthcare sector as part of Vision 2030. The pharmacist's role is no longer limited to dispensing medication; it has expanded to include clinical care, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and scientific research. The "More Than a Pharmacist" event aims to highlight these evolving roles, with a particular focus on the latest global trends such as digital pharmacy, artificial intelligence applications in healthcare, pharmaceutical innovation, entrepreneurship, and pharmaceutical sustainability.

Interactive activities to empower national competencies

The event includes a diverse range of accompanying activities designed to hone students' skills, most notably the "Innovate with Your Talent" exhibition, which serves as an incubator for young talents to showcase their innovations and individual abilities. The "Hospital Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Associations" corner also stands out as a key destination for providing professional and academic consultations, answering inquiries from students and professionals in the field, and guiding them toward the most in-demand career paths.

The strategic impact of effectiveness

It is worth noting that the “More Than a Pharmacist” event is a prominent annual event that directly contributes to achieving the strategic plan objectives of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. Through these initiatives, the university works to develop competitive talent capable of leading change in the healthcare sector and to provide a supportive environment for excellence in teaching and learning, thus ensuring the graduation of qualified professionals who meet the rapidly evolving demands of the job market and contribute to strengthening the Kingdom’s pharmaceutical and healthcare security system.
