Energy: Restoration of pumping capacity for the East-West pipeline and full production at Manifa... and continued work to restart production at Khurais
Further to the Ministry of Energy's statement issued on April 9, 2026, regarding the impact of attacks on some facilities within the Kingdom's energy system, including the loss of approximately 700,000 barrels per day (bpd) of pumping capacity through the East-West pipeline, a decrease in production from the Manifa field by approximately 300,000 bpd, and an impact on production from the Khurais field by approximately 300,000 bpd, the Ministry of Energy announces the successful operational and technical efforts to restore full pumping capacity through the East-West pipeline, amounting to approximately seven million bpd, and to restore the affected production volumes from the Manifa field, amounting to approximately 300,000 bpd, within a short period of time, thanks be to God.
Regarding the Khurais field, work is still underway to restore full production capacity, and this will be announced upon completion, God willing.
This rapid recovery reflects the high operational resilience and crisis management efficiency of Saudi Aramco and the Kingdom's energy system, which enhances the reliability and continuity of supplies to local and global markets and supports the global economy.
