According to the center's statement, moderate to heavy thunderstorms are expected, leading to flash floods, accompanied by hail and strong winds in parts of the Asir, Jazan, and Najran regions, as well as the southern parts of the Riyadh and Eastern regions. There is also a chance of fog in some areas of these regions.
Meanwhile, surface winds will stir up dust and sand, potentially reducing horizontal visibility to near zero in parts of the Al-Jawf and Northern Borders regions.
Red Sea
- Surface winds: Northwesterly to northerly at a speed of 15-35 km/h over the northern and central parts, and southwesterly to southerly, turning northerly to northwesterly during the afternoon at a speed of 15-45 km/h, reaching more than 50 km/h with the formation of rain-bearing thunderclouds over the southern part.
- Wave height: from half a meter to one and a half meters on the northern and central parts, and from one meter to two meters, reaching more than two and a half meters with the formation of rain-bearing thunderclouds on the southern part.
- Sea state: Light to moderate waves in the northern and central parts, and moderate waves reaching rough with the formation of rain-bearing thunderclouds in the southern part.
Arabian Gulf
- Surface winds: Westerly, turning northwesterly in the afternoon at a speed of 15-32 km/h over the northern part, and northwesterly to southwesterly at a speed of 18-48 km/h over the central and southern parts, reaching more than 60 km/h with the formation of rain-bearing thunderclouds.
- Wave height: from one and a half meters to two and a half meters, reaching more than two and a half meters with the formation of rain-bearing thunderclouds.
- Sea state: Moderate to rough.
