The Saudi Cabinet affirms the Kingdom's resolve in confronting regional threats

The Saudi Cabinet held its regular meeting on Tuesday, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The meeting addressed several vital issues concerning national and regional security, in addition to reviewing the Kingdom's developmental and technological achievements amidst current global challenges.

Strong condemnation of drone attacks and protection of Gulf security

At the forefront of security matters, the Cabinet reiterated its strongest condemnation of the blatant attacks targeting the territories of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, carried out using drones launched from Iraqi territory. This rapid recovery and high operational resilience reflect the exceptional efficiency of the Kingdom's energy system in crisis management. This point is of paramount international importance, as the Kingdom is considered a cornerstone of the global energy market, and any attack on its facilities is an attack on the entire global economy, highlighting the importance of international cooperation to deter such threats.

National achievements in the space sector and Vision 2030

Beyond security challenges, and within the framework of the comprehensive development drive led by Saudi Vision 2030, the Cabinet noted the Kingdom's achievement of a new scientific and technological milestone in space exploration. This achievement is represented by the successful launch of the "Shams" satellite, which is distinguished by being manufactured and developed entirely by Saudi national talent and expertise. This success reflects the aspirations for developing the innovation and scientific creativity sector and affirms the Kingdom's determination to secure a leading position in the international space sector and to localize advanced technologies to serve future generations and enhance the diversification and prosperity of the national economy.
