Held at the Civil Defense Institute in Riyadh, the two-week program included 23 trainees representing 10 member states of the Coalition, aiming to standardize concepts and enhance field capabilities.
Strategic partnership to enhance collective security
This program embodies the pivotal role played by the Riyadh-based Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition in building the self-reliance of its member states. The Coalition's role extends beyond traditional military aspects to encompass security and civilian dimensions related to crisis management arising from terrorist operations or natural disasters, reflecting a comprehensive vision for combating threats facing the region and the Muslim world.
The closing ceremony was attended by prominent figures, led by the Director of the General Department for Human Resources Development at the General Directorate of Civil Defense, Major General Sami bin Abdulmohsen Al-Tuwaijri, and the representative of the Islamic Alliance, Brigadier General Saud bin Ashri Al-Ashri, which confirms the high-level official interest in the outcomes of this training.
Training topics: From planning to response
The program was distinguished by its intensive theoretical and practical content, focusing on equipping trainees with the latest knowledge and skills necessary to handle complex scenarios. Key topics included:
- Hazardous Materials Management: Training to deal with incidents involving chemical or biological materials is a vital aspect in light of the evolution of modern threats.
- Strategic planning: Preparing and implementing proactive emergency plans to ensure a rapid response and minimize human and material losses.

Program importance and regional impact
This program is of particular importance given the extensive experience that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia possesses in crowd management and emergency response, which it has shared through the General Directorate of Civil Defense with trainees from member states. This knowledge exchange is a cornerstone of the Alliance's strategy to enhance integration and joint coordination.
The Islamic Alliance affirmed that continuing to provide such quality programs reflects its firm commitment to supporting the stability of member states and raising their institutional readiness to confront various risks and threats, in line with best professional practices and internationally adopted standards in crisis management.
