As part of the intensive diplomatic efforts led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to bolster regional and international stability, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a series of telephone calls today from his counterparts in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the Republic of Turkey. These discussions come at a sensitive time, as the region witnesses rapid developments that necessitate high-level coordination among key players.

Joint Arab coordination with Jordan

His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs began his diplomatic activities by receiving a telephone call from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Ayman Safadi. During the call, they discussed the serious developments in the region and the efforts being made to contain them. This call reflects the depth of the historical and strategic relations between Riyadh and Amman, as Saudi-Jordanian coordination constitutes a fundamental pillar of Arab national security, particularly with regard to the Palestinian issue and the situation in the Gaza Strip, and joint efforts to prevent the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East.

Strengthening Islamic solidarity with Pakistan

In a related development, Prince Faisal bin Farhan received a call from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Ishaq Dar. The two sides discussed current developments and issues of mutual interest. These talks are of particular importance given Pakistan's status as a nuclear-armed Islamic power and a strategic partner of the Kingdom. These consultations underscore the Kingdom's commitment to unifying the Islamic world and coordinating positions on issues of concern to the Muslim Ummah, especially in light of the geopolitical challenges facing the region.

Regional talks with Türkiye

His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs also received a call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Hakan Fidan, during which the two sides exchanged views on the latest developments in the region. This communication comes as a continuation of the development of Saudi-Turkish relations and reaffirms the pivotal role of both countries in shaping stability in the region. In such discussions, both sides typically emphasize the necessity of prioritizing dialogue and diplomacy to resolve outstanding crises.

The Kingdom's leading role in the stability of the region

These successive contacts highlight the pivotal role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, as a stabilizing force in the region. Saudi diplomacy is actively working to de-escalate tensions and mobilize international and regional efforts to halt military operations and protect civilians, drawing on its political and economic weight and its spiritual standing. These initiatives underscore the Kingdom's unwavering commitment to supporting all efforts that promote international peace and security and spare the region the ravages of war and conflict.
