The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s welcome of the announcement of a temporary truce between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Afghanistan on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

Calls for a truce and prioritizing dialogue

The Kingdom appreciates the positive response of both parties to the calls issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, and the Republic of Turkey to implement this ceasefire, affirming that prioritizing dialogue and peaceful solutions is the best way to resolve outstanding disputes.
The Kingdom emphasizes that it will continue its tireless diplomatic efforts, in coordination with brotherly and friendly nations , to achieve peace, security, and stability in the region.
