The scientific meeting kicked off under the patronage of Al-Sudais

Under the patronage of His Excellency the President of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, Sheikh Professor Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, the Presidency of Religious Affairs is organizing a distinguished scholarly gathering entitled “The Efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Supporting the Religious System at the Two Holy Mosques.” This prominent event will be held on Tuesday, the 2nd of Dhul-Hijjah, 1447 AH, at 1:00 PM, in the Sheikh Mohammed Al-Sabil Hall at the Presidency building, with the participation of a wide range of eminent scholars and senior religious figures in the Kingdom.

Historical context and the Kingdom's global message

This scholarly gathering is a continuation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's longstanding and unwavering commitment to the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors, a commitment that began with the founder, King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud (may God have mercy on him), and continues to this day under the reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and his Crown Prince. This commitment extends beyond mere physical and urban expansion; it encompasses a profound dedication to the religious system, embodying the Kingdom's global Islamic mission of serving Islam and Muslims, and promoting the principles of moderation and balance that represent the very essence of the true Islamic faith.

Meeting topics and selected speakers

The meeting aims to highlight the Kingdom's pioneering efforts in developing the religious system at the Two Holy Mosques and to shed light on its rapid administrative, intellectual, and technological advancements. The General Presidency for Religious Affairs revealed that the meeting will discuss highly important scholarly and intellectual topics. His Excellency Sheikh Professor Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid, Imam and Khateeb of the Grand Mosque, member of the Council of Senior Scholars, and Advisor to the Royal Court, will address the topic of "Administrative Development of the Religious System." Meanwhile, His Excellency Professor Dr. Saad bin Nasser Al-Shathri, member of the Council of Senior Scholars and Advisor to the Royal Court, will present on the topic of "Religious Principles and the Universal Message.".

Integration with Saudi Vision 2030

Digital transformation and international impact

At both the regional and international levels, the meeting highlights the qualitative leaps taking place within the religious system in vital areas such as the simultaneous translation of sermons from the Two Holy Mosques into multiple languages, the comprehensive digital transformation, and the development of enrichment and awareness-raising services. Investing in modern technologies to disseminate Islamic knowledge and enhance communication with Muslims of all languages worldwide embodies the keenness of the wise leadership—may God support them—to strengthen the scholarly, intellectual, and outreach impact of the Two Holy Mosques globally. This strategic approach solidifies the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's position as a global beacon of moderation and ensures that the pure message of Islam reaches all corners of the earth.
