Developing the water infrastructure in Medina at a cost of 60 million riyals

Announced National Water Company Regarding the completion of the water pipeline project, which represents a fundamental pillar in the infrastructure of Madinah, at a total cost of 60 million riyals, with the aim of bringing about a qualitative leap in the efficiency of water supply and serving visitors in line with the objectives Improving quality of life.
The project included the implementation of integrated construction and engineering works to ensure the sustainability of water resources, meet the growing needs of the residents and visitors of Tayyiba, and enhance the operational capabilities of the water system in the region in general.

operational efficiency

The project aims to stabilize water pressure and increase water flow to neighborhoods in western Medina, while connecting the southern reservoir system to the public network to serve visitors to the Prophet's Mosque, accommodations, the Miqat Mosque, and the surrounding area.
The engineering work included laying 10 kilometers of pipelines to form a vital artery supplying new urban expansions and ensuring efficient service delivery to all targeted sectors in the area.

Expanding the scope of the service

The project serves over 137,000 beneficiaries spread across several strategic neighborhoods and areas, including Al-Aziziyah, Al-Qaswa, Urwah, Abu Buraiqa, Al-Duaitha, Hamra Al-Asad, and Al-Miqat, in addition to logistical areas such as the industrial zone, Al-Hijrah Road, Dhi Al-Halifah, and Jamma Umm Khalid.
The project also covers the needs of Al-Hasa and Abu Markha neighborhoods and shelters, reflecting the comprehensiveness of the company's expansion plan to encompass all residential and industrial developments.

Strategic goals

The company confirmed that this project contributes to increasing the efficiency of water flows and ensuring water sustainability in urban developments west of the city, while also improving customer experience through stable pressure and guaranteed 24/7 water access.
This step is part of the company's efforts to modernize the water sector's infrastructure in line with the Kingdom's vision to enhance service quality and meet the demands of the rapidly growing population in Medina.
