The man who scored Al-Ahly's double is in a hospital bed
Former Al-Ahli club president Abdulaziz Abdul-Aal was admitted to King Faisal Specialist Hospital due to a health issue. Abdul-Aal is considered one of Al-Ahli's most devoted presidents, and his tenure as president (late 1960s) witnessed the beginnings of the club's golden era, during which the team won several important championships, most notably the King's Cup in 1969.
The team's successes continued during this crucial formative period leading up to winning the Premier League and King's Cup titles (the double). He enjoys good relations with many prominent figures in Saudi clubs, and his approach to rival teams is different; he is against fanaticism and tension and encourages fair play.
It is worth mentioning that Abdulaziz Abdul-Aal started as a player, then a basketball supervisor, then a board member, then president of Al-Ahly Club in 1996-1997. He loves basketball, in which he represented Al-Ahly Club, and his love for it increased during his studies in America, where basketball is the number one popular sport, and he was a successful basketball player.
