“She gave up possessing nuclear weapons”... Trump explains what the agreement with Iran would look like if it were finalized

US President Donald Trump Sunday he believes there is a “good chance” of reaching an agreement with Iran on Monday, shortly after renewing his threat to bomb its infrastructure if it does not reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
“I think there’s a good chance tomorrow,” Trump told a Fox News reporter. “They’re negotiating right now.”

Iran-US negotiations

He added, “If they don’t reach an agreement quickly, I’m seriously considering destroying everything and seizing the oil.”
During the same interview, Trump said he had provided “immunity” to the Iranian negotiators so they wouldn’t be targets of US or Israeli strikes.
According to the US president, the negotiations no longer address Iran’s acquisition of a nuclear weapon, as Tehran has abandoned that idea, according to Trump.
Trump asserted, according to Fox News journalist Trey Youngst, “The key point is that they will not have a nuclear weapon. They’re not even negotiating that issue; it’s very simple. It’s been conceded. Most of the issues have been conceded.”

Weapons for the protesters

Trump also claimed that the United States attempted, at an unspecified date, to send weapons to anti-government protesters in Iran through Kurdish groups in the region.
He told Fox News on Sunday, “We sent weapons to the protesters, in large quantities,” before adding, “I think the Kurds took up arms.”
In late March, a senior official from Iraqi Kurdistan confirmed that Washington does not arm Iranian Kurdish groups based in the Iraqi region.
