
The Crown Prince and the Emir of Qatar affirm that the continuation of Iranian attacks threatens the security of the region
His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, met today in Jeddah with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, discussed the latest regional developments, the repercussions of the military escalation in the region, its risks to freedom of international navigation and the security of energy supplies, its impact on the global economy, and the coordination of joint efforts to enhance regional security and stability.
The meeting emphasized that the continued Iranian attacks on the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the targeting of vital and civilian infrastructure constitute a dangerous escalation that threatens the region's security and stability.
The meeting was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region; His Excellency Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers, and National Security Advisor; His Excellency Khalid bin Ali Al-Humaidan, Head of General Intelligence; and His Excellency Dr. Bandar bin Obaid Al-Rasheed, Secretary to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince.
On the Qatari side, those in attendance included Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, Minister of Interior, Mr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, Head of the Amiri Diwan, and a number of officials.
