Five Saudi clubs (Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli and Al-Qadisiyah) spent more than 2.04 billion euros during the conclusion of a number of deals, according to a report revealed by Transfermarkt, a website specializing in statistics and market values ​​of players.

The report detailed the extent of Saudi clubs' spending on player acquisitions since the launch of the Saudi Professional League development project. Al-Hilal topped the list with a total expenditure of €651.12 million, far surpassing the other clubs.

Al-Nasr came in second with spending of 409.84 million euros, while Al-Ittihad came in third with 382.68 million euros. Al-Ahli came in fourth with a total of 380.53 million euros, followed by Al-Qadisiyah in fifth place with 222.72 million euros.
