
Al-Jasser: The transportation and logistics system is ready to serve the pilgrims
welcomed The Minister of Transport and Logistics, Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser,King Abdulaziz International Airport Jeddah today. of pilgrims , arriving from the People’s Republic of Bangladesh on Saudi Arabian Airlines flight number (5807), were greeted with official hospitality and a comprehensive service system reflecting the highest levels of readiness to receive the pilgrims.
The pilgrims’ arrival procedures were completed in record time through the “Makkah Route” initiative, one of the Ministry of Interior’s initiatives within the Guests of God Service Program – one of the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. This initiative represents an advanced model of integration between government agencies and the private sector. All entry procedures, health requirements, and baggage handling were completed at the initiative’s terminal in the departure airport in Bangladesh, enabling pilgrims to transfer directly from the plane to buses designated to transport them to their accommodations in Makkah without having to wait at passport control or baggage claim, via dedicated lanes that ensured smooth flow.
Al-Jasser emphasized that the transport and logistics system operates according to an integrated operational strategy that relies on harnessing modern technologies and artificial intelligence to provide the best services.
Caring for the guests of God
The Minister of Transport pointed out that these efforts are an extension of the generous care that the wise leadership – may God protect them – bestows upon the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors, and in pursuit of the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy stemming from the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which prioritizes the quality of the Hajj experience and facilitating the pilgrim's journey.
He explained that this integration among government agencies represents a qualitative leap in transportation services, noting that the handling of pilgrims' luggage is done through smart electronic systems that ensure its arrival at their accommodations simultaneously with the pilgrims' arrival.
At the conclusion of the reception, the arriving pilgrims expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom for the meticulous organization, swift procedures, and warm welcome they experienced, affirming that the advanced readiness and facilities they witnessed reflect the Kingdom's commitment and leading role in caring for the guests of God and providing them with high-quality services.
