The former president of Al-Hilal makes excuses for the national team and directs veiled criticism at the Football Association and the technical staff!

Abdulrahman bin Musaed commented via his account on the “X” platform on the loss of the Saudi national football team to the Egyptian national team by four goals in the friendly match that brought them together at Al-Inma Stadium in Jeddah, saying in the text of his post: “Our team is excused and it is not permissible to be harsh on it, a team that plays without players, without a coach, without an administrative staff, and without a federation supervising it.”.

His statement came with two parallel dimensions: making excuses for the national team given the current capabilities, and directing veiled messages criticizing the administrative and technical system and the Football Association. The statement was understood in its context as a direct message to the authorities concerned with developing the national team, reflecting his dissatisfaction with the role of the Federation and the technical staff in light of what he sees as a lack of organization and stability, which is reflected – according to his statement – in the level of the national team and its results.

The post received widespread interaction among the public, between those who supported its content and those who saw a need for a deeper reading of the national team's reality and circumstances.
