This action was taken after it was determined that the well posed a significant danger to passersby due to the lack of any safety measures around it.
Filling in open wells in Mecca
The backfilling operation was carried out with the participation of the Al-Bayda Governorate Center, the Civil Defense, and the Holy Capital Municipality, as part of joint efforts to reduce environmental risks and protect lives and property. The office confirmed the continuation of
work to
monitor and address open and abandoned wells in various centers and villages affiliated with the Holy Capital, calling on citizens and residents to report any open wells through the ministry's official channels.
