Hajj Provisions Course at Quba Mosque to educate pilgrims on the rules of Hajj rituals
The “Hajj Provisions” course kicks off at the first mosque in Islam
Under the generous patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, and General Supervisor of Hajj, Umrah and Visit Affairs, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, the intensive educational course “Zad Al-Hajj” will commence tomorrow, Wednesday, the 19th of Dhul-Qa’dah 1445 AH, at Quba Mosque in Madinah. This initiative is part of the operational plan prepared by the Ministry for this year’s Hajj season, aiming to enrich the religious experience of the pilgrims and educate them on the rulings of the rituals according to the moderate and balanced approach.
Historical background and importance of the place
The choice of Quba Mosque to host this course carries profound symbolic and historical significance. It is the first mosque built in Islam, and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) participated in laying its foundation stones upon his migration to Medina. The mosque holds a special place in the hearts of Muslims, and praying there is considered highly meritorious. Holding this course within its walls connects pilgrims to the rich history of Islam and adds a unique spiritual dimension to their educational experience, allowing them to immerse themselves in the essence of the Prophet's life in its original setting.
Rich scientific content and a simplified methodology
The course continues until the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah 1445 AH and includes (36) specialized lessons delivered by a select group of accredited scholars and preachers. The lessons cover a wide range of vital topics needed by pilgrims, such as a detailed explanation of the rulings of Hajj rituals, interpretation of Hajj verses in the Holy Quran, and the consolidation of the principles of monotheism, in addition to emphasizing the importance of venerating God's sacred rites and the virtues of good deeds during these blessed days. The course also includes explanations of several authoritative scholarly texts, ensuring the presentation of sound and reliable academic material.
The importance and expected impact of the initiative
The “Zad Al-Hajj” course aims to reach over 200,000 pilgrims visiting the Quba Mosque, presenting its content in a simplified manner that respects the cultural and linguistic diversity of the pilgrims. Locally, this initiative reinforces the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s leading role in serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors, highlighting its efforts in providing sound religious guidance. Internationally, the course contributes to disseminating moderate Islamic knowledge and unifying the understanding of Hajj rituals among pilgrims from around the world, ensuring they perform their religious duties with insight and knowledge, and strengthening the bonds of Islamic brotherhood. These efforts are an integral part of the comprehensive services provided by the Kingdom, which aim to enable pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and tranquility, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to enrich the religious experience for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
