The Governor of Riyadh crowns the winners of the 8th International Arabian Horse Beauty Championship

Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God protect him, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, attended today the closing ceremony of the 8th International Arabian Horse Beauty Show. The championship was held in Riyadh, amidst a notable presence of prominent figures, horse owners, and enthusiasts of this time-honored sport.

Upon his arrival at the venue, His Highness was received by His Royal Highness Prince Bandar bin Khalid bin Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Higher Authority for Equestrianism and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Horse Racing Club, along with His Excellency the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Engineer Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli, and a number of officials.

Crowning the winners and final results

The ceremony began with the playing of the national anthem, followed by a magnificent parade of the mares and horses that had qualified for the finals. Afterwards, His Royal Highness the Prince of Riyadh presented the awards to the owners of the winning stables, with the results as follows:

  • Stallion category (of Saudi origin and breed): His Royal Highness Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz dominated, securing first and second place. His stallion "Khuraysan Adhbah" won the gold medal, while "Baslam Adhbah" took the silver. The bronze medal went to "Layth Dirab," owned by Al-Aredh Stud.
  • Mares Championship: Horizon Stud won the gold medal with the outstanding mare “Eco Anastasia”, while the Royal Cavalry won the silver medal with the mare “D Gram”, and the mare “Nouf Adhba” from Adhba Stud won the bronze medal.

This championship reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's deep commitment to the Arabian horse, the original home of this rare breed. The King Abdulaziz Arabian Horse Center is dedicated to organizing such events according to the highest international standards (ECAHO), reinforcing the Kingdom's position as a leading global destination for horse beauty contests and preserving its purebred lines, which are intertwined with the history of the Kingdom's unification and the heroic deeds of its forefathers.

This event reflects the unlimited support that the wise leadership gives to the equestrian sector, which is witnessing an unprecedented renaissance in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which aims to consolidate the cultural and sporting heritage, and support Saudi horse owners and stables to compete in international forums.

Record participation and recognition of sponsors

The eighth edition of the international show witnessed a record number of participants, with 844 purebred Arabian horses competing, reflecting the strength of the championship and the growing number of those interested in breeding Arabian horses in the region and the world. The show was accompanied by a diverse program highlighting the beauty of the horses and their rich history.

At the conclusion of the sporting event, His Royal Highness the Prince of Riyadh received a commemorative gift from the King Abdulaziz Arabian Horse Center, presented by His Excellency Engineer Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli. His Royal Highness also honored the government agencies and sponsoring companies that contributed to the success of this international event, praising the efforts of the organizers and the high standard of the championship.
