TASS news agency quoted Rosatom Director General Alexei Likhachev as saying, "The main evacuation of Rosatom employees from Iran began today as planned."
He added that buses carrying "198 people" departed for the Armenian border "about 20 minutes" after the latest strike targeted the vicinity of the nuclear power plant.
He described this as "the largest evacuation" of Russian personnel from the plant since the start of the war in the Middle East.

Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant

A new US-Israeli strike on the perimeter of the Bushehr nuclear power plant in southwestern Iran killed one security guard on Saturday, according to Iranian state media.
Russia helped build the plant, and Russian technicians are assisting in its operation.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a statement, “We strongly condemn this heinous act that resulted in the death of a person,” adding that “strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, including the Bushehr nuclear power plant, must stop immediately.”
This marks the fourth time this area on the Persian Gulf coast has been targeted since the start of the Middle East conflict on February 28, according to Iran’s official IRNA news agency.
