
Friday's weather: Thunderstorms and flash floods expected in parts of 7 regions
announced The National Center for Meteorologydetails of the expected weather conditions for Friday in the Kingdom, warning of thunderstorms and flash floods in parts of seven regions.
According to the meteorology, there remains a chance of moderate to heavy thunderstorms leading to flash floods, accompanied by hail and active winds that will stir up dust and sand in parts of the Najran, Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha regions. The effects will extend to the eastern parts of the Makkah region, as well as the southern parts of the Riyadh and Eastern regions.

While the formation of rain-bearing thunderclouds accompanied by active winds is not ruled out over parts of the Hail, Al-Jawf and Northern Borders regions.

Red Sea
- Surface winds: Northwesterly to northerly at a speed of 12-38 km/h.
- Wave height: from half a meter to one and a half meters.
- Sea state: Light to moderate waves.
Arabian Gulf
- Surface winds: Northeasterly to northerly in the northern part and easterly to northeasterly in the central and southern parts at a speed of 10-32 km/h, reaching more than 45 km/h with the formation of rain-bearing thunderclouds in the southern part.
- Wave height: from half a meter to one and a half meters, reaching more than two meters with the formation of rain-bearing thunderclouds on the southern part.
- Sea state: Light to moderate waves, becoming rough with the formation of rain-bearing thunderclouds over the southern part.
