
Al-Qadisiyah exposed the truth... Al-Ittihad loses but qualifies for the Asian Champions League
Al-Qadisiyah team achieved a resounding victory over their host Al-Ittihad with a score of (1-5) in the match that brought them together today at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, as part of the (34) and final round of the Saudi Professional League (Roshan Saudi).
Musab Al-Juwair opened the scoring for Al-Qadisiyah early in the second minute, while Julian Quinones added the second goal in the 36th minute from a penalty kick, before returning to strengthen the result with another goal one minute later. Meanwhile, Al-Ittihad player Youssef Al-Nassiri scored his team’s only goal from a penalty kick in the 41st minute, and Mohammed Abu Al-Shamat scored a goal in the 55th minute, and Quinones added his third and personal goal in the 64th minute.
With this victory, Al-Qadisiyah raised its tally to 77 points to finish the season in fourth place in the league standings, while Al-Ittihad’s tally remained at 55 points in fifth place, thus securing qualification for the AFC Champions League Elite play-offs, following a fierce competition for fifth place with Al-Taawon, who lost to Al-Hazm by two goals to nil.
