
An Arab country raised wages by 21% and adjusted the closing times of shops and restaurants
Madbouly revealed today at a press conference positive news expected regarding securing energy sources and increasing local production, with the aim of reducing the import bill during the next three years, stressing the state’s direction towards strict rationalization measures to ensure the continuation of the production process.
He noted that it was decided to start working remotely on Sundays of each week for a month, with the possibility of increasing the number of days if the current crisis continues.
On the other hand, the Egyptian Cabinet approved today the amendment of closing times for public shops, shopping centers, restaurants and others.
Coptic holidays
According to the decision, the closing times for public shops, shopping centers, restaurants, and others will be at 11 pm, instead of 9 pm, from Friday, April 10, 2026 until Monday, April 13, 2026, in accordance with the recommendation issued by the Central Crisis Management Committee, on the occasion of the Christian citizens’ holidays.
During its meeting yesterday, chaired by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, the Central Crisis Management Committee in Egypt recommended suspending the implementation of closure decisions for public shops, shopping centers, restaurants, cafeterias, clubs, and sports and popular facilities during the week of Coptic citizens’ holidays.
