Former Al-Ittihad player Tarek Hamed retires from football
Egyptian midfielder Tarek Hamed announced yesterday (Friday) his retirement from football after a long and successful career.
Tarek Hamed’s announcement came during his attendance at the Zamalek vs. CR Belouizdad match in the Confederation Cup semi-final, while the fans of the White Castle were keen to raise a banner bearing the phrase: “On the field, a warrior knight… Thank you, Tarek Hamed.”.

Two previous experiences in the Saudi League
It is worth noting that Tarek Hamed started his football career at Tala’ea El Gaish, then played for Smouha, while his most prominent stop was with Zamalek, before he moved to the Saudi League, where he had two experiences with Al Ittihad and Damac.

The last experience of the former Egyptian international was with the Qatari club Al-Bidaa, before he bid farewell to the fields and hung up his boots at the age of 37.
