
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs organizes a Holy Quran competition in Kosovo
The competition targets young men and women aged (12) to (30) years, from students of Quran memorization centers, students of Sharia institutes, and students of government schools, in order to contribute to discovering Quranic talents and developing their abilities in memorization and recitation.
Saudi leadership in serving the Holy Quran
The competition aims to highlight the Islamic and pioneering role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving, caring for and spreading the Holy Quran among Muslims, and to encourage Muslims in the Republic of Kosovo to master and recite the Book of God, in addition to promoting the spirit of honorable competition among participants in the field of the Holy Quran, and strengthening the bonds of cooperation between the Religious Attaché at the Embassy of the Kingdom and Islamic institutions in Kosovo.
The competition includes three main categories: memorizing ten parts of the Quran for boys and girls, memorizing five parts for boys and girls, and memorizing two parts for boys and girls, thus providing an opportunity for participants of varying abilities to compete.
The final rounds and closing ceremony will be held in Pristina, the capital of Serbia, on Sunday, April 19, 2026, amidst official and community attendance reflecting the importance of this Quranic event.
This competition is part of the ongoing efforts of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, under the guidance of His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, the General Supervisor of Local and International Competitions, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, to serve the Holy Quran and disseminate it globally, and to enhance the presence of Quranic programs in various countries around the world. This contributes to consolidating the tolerant values of Islam, connecting generations to the Book of God Almighty, and affirming the pioneering role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in caring for the Holy Quran and encouraging its memorization.
