Saudi support for Gaza: Distribution of winter clothing to students in Khan Younis

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continued its humanitarian efforts to support its Palestinian brothers and sisters, with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center winter clothing to students at several educational institutions in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, yesterday. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to alleviate the harsh winter conditions faced by displaced people in the Gaza Strip.
An urgent response to harsh educational conditions
This initiative is of paramount importance given the exceptional circumstances facing the education sector in Gaza. Following the destruction of most schools and educational facilities due to bombing and military operations, thousands of students have been forced to continue their education in makeshift tents lacking even the most basic heating. This aid comes to address a pressing need for children who insist on upholding their right to education despite the harsh realities and freezing temperatures.
Saudi Popular Campaign: Steadfast Solidarity
This aid falls under the umbrella of the Saudi popular campaign to aid the Palestinian people , launched by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prime Minister. This campaign reflects the deep fraternal ties between the two peoples, as generous public donations have enabled the establishment of air and sea relief bridges, delivering food, medicine, and shelter to those affected in the most dire circumstances.

Psychological and recreational support for children
The Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage—the implementing partner of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center in Gaza—did not limit its efforts to the physical distribution of clothing, but also included organizing accompanying recreational and interactive activities. These activities aimed to provide psychological and social support to students, helping to alleviate the trauma resulting from displacement and loss of shelter, thus strengthening their resilience and motivating them to continue their educational journey.
The Kingdom's leading humanitarian role
This continued support underscores the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s leading role in international humanitarian work and its unwavering historical stance in supporting the Palestinian cause on all levels. The Kingdom is among the largest donors to the Gaza Strip, striving through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, to provide a vital safety net for the most vulnerable groups, thus embodying its noble Islamic and humanitarian values of aiding those in distress and providing relief to those afflicted by disaster.
