Second institution in the Kingdom... Imam Abdulrahman University receives global accreditation for clinical research

Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University has obtained the global standard certificate for quality in Clinical Research CentersGlobal Clinical Site Assessment (“GCSA”), which is awarded by the International Organization for Clinical Research Accreditation.
The university's attainment of this international certification is a significant achievement, as it becomes the second institution in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to receive this accreditation, reflecting its commitment to global standards of quality, governance, safety, and ethics Clinical trialsIt supports its ability to attract and conduct studies locally and internationally.

Dr. Iman Al-Salmi, Director of the Translational Medical Sciences Research Center at the university, affirmed that this certification represents a qualitative leap in the university's translational medical research journey and reinforces its position as a trusted partner in conducting clinical trials . This contributes to transforming scientific innovations into therapeutic and preventative solutions that serve the community.
The announcement of this achievement came during the center's "Clinical Trials Awareness Day" event, held as part of its efforts to strengthen its leading role in supporting the national research system and translating research and innovations into advanced healthcare.
During the event, Dr. Al-Salmi reviewed the center's most prominent achievements in building an integrated clinical trials system, which included managing 30 clinical trials during the year and launching an advanced digital platform for managing these trials.
The center's director also highlighted the research system's success in fully recruiting the target patients, as well as successfully closing two clinical trials ahead of schedule.
